A notice has been issued to fill 'online' membership applications within December 16 before the election. International representatives of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) have been invited to oversee the election.

Since the last election in 2068 BS, no further elections have taken place in the Scout organization. Following the resignation of the then chief commissioner in 2070 BS, Nepal Scout has been functioning under ad hoc committees.

As per the Nepal Scout Act of 2050 BS, elections are mandated to be held every four years. However, due to internal disputes, elections have been delayed.
