Nepal's women's cricket team registers its biggest win on run difference

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Nepal's women cricket team defeated Indonesia by 92 runs to secure its place in the finals of Women's-T20 Smash being held at Asia Institute of Technology cricket ground, Bangkok, Thailand.

This is the biggest win on run-difference for Nepal in an early T20I career.

Nepal batted first and set a target of 120 runs in its allotted 20 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Indonesia was no match for Nepal bowling as it faltered put up any challenge while chasing and was wrapped up for mere 27 runs in 11 overs. Sita Rana Magar led the batting innings with 48 runs while Indu Burma supported with brisk 37 runs.

Nepal will now face the winner between UAE and Thailand, second semifinal match, for the championship. Captain Rubina Chettri took three wickets while Kabita Kunwar, Neri Thapa, Sita Rana Magar, and Sarita Magar took one wicket each. Nepal is still unbeaten in the tournament with a fifth win on the trot. It topped the Group A to qualify for the semi.
