KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Nepal has stayed intact in the 161st position, according to the latest FIFA World Rankings published on Thursday. India, despite dropping six places down to the 103rd place, still is at the top of the South Asian rankings.
Likewise, Maldives is second in the category in the 152nd position, with Nepal being in the third. Bhutan is fourth in the 186th, Bangladesh is fifth in the 192nd, Pakistan is sixth in the 199th and Sri Lanka is seventh in the 201st.
Does Doing Business ranking mean anything?
In Asia, Japan is at the top improving 23 places to stay in the 27th position, while Qatar has improved a drastic 38 reaching its highest position in more than quarter of a century on the back of its victorious Asian Cup campaign.
Likewise, Belgium is still intact in the top position, while World Cup winner France is second. Brazil is third, Croatia fourth, England fifth, Portugal sixth, Switzerland seventh, Spain ninth and Denmark in 10th.
