Nepal reports second COVID-19 death (with video)

KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepal has reported the second COVID-19 death on Sunday. 

According to spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Bikash Devkota, a 25-year-old youth from Narainapur-5, Banke died of coronavirus today morning at 6:40 am. His swab samples were tested positive later in the afternoon. 

He was in a quarantine facility after arriving in Nepal from India on May 12. 

He had experienced health issues including high fever and diarrhoea after coming back home. 

Earlier on Saturday, the MoHP confirmed the first COVID-19 death. She was a 29-year-old woman from Sindhupalchowk district who died while rushing to Dhulikhel hospital on May 14 after she complained of breathing difficulties.
