KATHMANDU, May 26: Nepal registered its highest single day increase in coronavirus cases with 90 new infections reported on Tuesday, taking the national COVID-19 tally to 772 in the country.
Dr Bikash Devkota, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, told a media briefing that 35 new COVID-19 cases were recorded at the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku. Likewise, Bheri Hospital reported one new COVID-19 case and the provincial lab in Rupandehi recorded seven new COVID-19 cases today.

Seti Hospital Lab witnessed two new COVID-19 cases, a lab in Pokhara recorded two new COVID-19 cases and Surkhet Provincial Lab witnessed 12 new cases, according to him.
Similarly, Nepalgunj witnessed seven new COVID-19 cases and Dang district witnessed 24 new COVID-19 cases today. "With 90 new COVID-19 cases, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 772 today," the spokesperson added.
