The Kathmandu Valley recorded 3,893 new cases in the past 24 hours
KATHMANDU, May 4: Nepal recorded yet another highest single-day rise of 7,660 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 7,587 people tested positive for COVID-19 through 16,131 PCR tests and 73 others through 571 antigen tests on Tuesday.

Likewise, the health ministry also confirmed 55 new deaths related with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours which is so far the highest number of deaths recorded in a single day.
Similarly, 1,175 COVID-19 patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally stands at 351,005 including 3,417 cases of fatality as of Tuesday afternoon.
There are currently 55,520 COVID-19 patients staying isolated at their homes, 4,278 in institutional isolations, 616 in ICUs and 179 on ventilators across the country.
The Kathmandu Valley alone witnessed 3,893 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of them, 2,779 were detected in Kathmandu district, 513 in Bhaktapur and 601 in Lalitpur districts. Sixteen districts across the country added more than 100 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
