KATHMANDU, Oct 8: As many as 1,033 people recovered from COVID-19 on Friday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 764 new cases of COVID--19 and ten deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.
There are currently 16,060 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 14,461 are in home isolation, 1,153 in institutional isolation, 313 in ICUs and 113 on ventilators. Similarly, 241 people are currently in quarantine facilities.
As many as 10,688 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 9466 were tested through PCR method while 1,222 with antigen tests.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 322 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 229 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 25 in Bhaktapur and 68 in Lalitpur districts.
