Nepal records 513 new cases, 816 recoveries and eight deaths on Saturday

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: As many as 816 people recovered from COVID-19 on Saturday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 513 new cases of COVID-19 and eight deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

As many as 6,931 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Saturday - 4,972 through the PCR method and 1,949 through the antigen method.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 213 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 150 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur and 39 in Lalitpur districts.

Similarly, the total vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 15,203,585. Among the total population of 30,378,055, as much as 28.3 percent have been administered the first dose while 21.7 percent have been given both doses.
