KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Nepal recorded 296 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with 369 recoveries and five deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 8,972 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 271 PCR and 25 antigen tests were tested positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 7,856 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 7,090 are in home isolation, 479 in institutional isolation, 231 in ICU’s and 56 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,494 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile the Kathmandu Valley recorded 120 cases of the virus on Friday. Of them, 91 were recorded in Kathmandu, 10 in Bhaktapur and 19 in Lalitpur districts.
