KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Nepal recorded 275 new cases of COVID-19 along with 555 recoveries and one death from the deadly virus on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 8,628 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 158 PCR and 117 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 9,387 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 9,026 are in self-isolation, 254 in institutional isolation, 92 in ICU’s and 15 on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,932 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 54 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 44 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, three in Bhaktapur and seven in Lalitpur districts.
