Nepal records 113 new cases, 20 recoveries and zero death on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepal recorded 113 new cases of COVID-19 along with 20 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Wednesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

As many as 2,724 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 90 PCR and 23 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 474 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 469 are in self-isolation, two in institutional isolation, two in ICUs and one on a ventilator. So far, 11,952 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 47 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 38 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, and nine in Lalitpur districts.
