KATHMANDU, March 10: Nepal recorded 112 new cases of COVID-19 along with 429 recoveries and zero deaths from the deadly virus on Thursday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 9,328 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 77 PCR and 35 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 5,379 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,230 are in self-isolation, 110 in institutional isolation, 34 in ICUs and five on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,949 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 32 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 21 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, four in Bhaktapur, and seven in Lalitpur districts.
