KATHMANDU, March 30: Nepal Police is investigating a photo which has gone viral on social media showing a policewoman forcing a man to sit on the street carrying a cooking gas cylinder.
On its Facebook page on Monday, Nepal Police Headquarters said that it has taken a serious note on the viral photo and concerns raised by multiple quarters on it. "We are launching a probe into it," it said.
Nepal Police’s central spokesperson Umesh Raj Joshi told Republica Online that they are trying to locate the place and the person who uploaded it to get further details.
Social media users are venting their ire against the policewoman accusing her of brutality.
