Nepal participates in SAARC handicrafts exhibition

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad participated in SAARC level handicrafts exhibition held in Islamad from February 22 to 24. The exhibition was inaugurated by Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, a press statement issued by the embassy reads.



Nepali embassy had a special display entitled ‘Nepal the Land of Wonders’ on a stall at the exhibition. The stall also displayed posters and maps depicting Nepal´s natural and cultural beauty and diversity. [break]



Meanwhile, coinciding with the exhibition, a seminar on art and artisan and a cultural program were also organized. More than 120, including the stalls set up by member countries of SAARC, displayed their products in the three day exhibition.
