Nepal-Kazakhsthan diplomatic relations

KATHMANDU, July 1: Nepal and Kazakhstan have established formal bilateral diplomatic relations on Tuesday, according to a press statement issued by Nepal's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

Nepali Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN Durga Prasad Bhattarai and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the UN Kairat Abdrakhmanov signed a Joint Communiqué' to this effect at a special ceremony held at the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan in New York. On the occasion, the two envoys expressed their confidence that the signing of the Communiqué marks a milestone in deepening and widening the relations between Nepal and Kazakhstan at the bilateral level in areas of mutual interest in the days ahead.Together, the establishment of diplomatic relations would help further strengthen cooperation between the two countries at the United Nations and various other multilateral forums at global and regional levels to promote international peace, security and development. The two envoys also jointly informed His Excellency Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, about the establishment of Nepal-Kazakhstan bilateral diplomatic relations, according to the statement.
