Nepal-Japan relations expanded to people's level: Vice-President Pun

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said Nepal-Japan relations have expanded to people's level, and it should be further strengthened.

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said Nepal-Japan relations have expanded to people's level, and it should be further strengthened. 



During the courtesy call on Vice-President Pun by Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masashi Ogawa, at Bahadur Bhawan on Friday, Vice-President Pun said that although the Nepal-Japan formal relations have marked 60th anniversary, both the countries have been experiencing friendship for long. 



Saying that Nagdhunga tunnel road being constructed with loan assistance of JICA was very important project, he stressed the need of initiating the construction as soon as possible. 



On the occasion, Ambassador Ogawa said this year was the special year for both countries as Nepal and Japan have been celebrating the 60th anniversary of the friendly relations between the two countries. 



He further said the Japan government had already approved the assistance for the construction of Nagdhunga tunnel road, so it would begin soon, mentioned VP Pun's Press Coordinator, Manoj Gharti, quoting the Japanese Ambassador. RSS
