KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has said that Nepal is always open for the guests. 

At a program organized by the Association of Nepal Tourism Journalists to mark the ‘Atithi Devo Vaba: Tourism Year 2020’, Minister Adhikari said that expressing love to the guests by remaining happy is our custom since time immemorial. 

On the occasion, Minister Adhikari proposed the Association to work by being supportive to the government’s activities and link the campaigns to development and prosperity by paying attention to tourism promotion. He also pledged the government’s assistance in the initiative conducted by the Association. 

Also speaking at the programme, Deputy Country Director of UNDP Ayshanie Labe said that tourism was a major basis to strengthen Nepal’s economy and materialize the government slogan of ‘Happy Nepali, Prosperous Nepal’. 

On the occasion, Labe said that stability of the peace, attractive environment, entertainment and easy access are required for the development of tourism. RSS
