Nepal faces defeat to India in 2nd game under One-day Cricket Series

KATHMANDU, Sept 14 : Nepal's U-19 cricket team faced defeat to India's U-19 'A' team in the second game held today under the One-day Cricket Series underway in Lucknow, India.

KATHMANDU, Sept 14 : Nepal's U-19 cricket team faced defeat to India's U-19 'A' team in the second game held today under the One-day Cricket Series underway in Lucknow, India. 


The match was held at Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Nepal faced an eight-wicket defeat. Batting first after winning the toss, Nepal made 156 runs in 45.5 overs at the loss of all its wickets.

India met the 157-run target at 24 .1 overs at the loss of two wickets. YB Rathod contributed 59 runs at not out while Prabha Simram Singh made 47 runs not-out for India. Skipper Anuj Rawat hit 47 runs. 


Towards bowling, Kamal Singh Airee and Pwan Sarraf each took one wicket for Nepal. In the batting session, Sandip Jora collected the highest 66 runs for Nepal. He hit one six and five fours in 93 balls. Tritaraj Das and Bhim Sarki made 46 and 28 runs respectively. 


India's YD Mangwani and Ajaya Dev Gaud took four wickets each.
