KATHMANDU, Aug 17: The Nepal Esports Association (NESA), in collaboration with Ncell Private Limited, is organizing the Nepal E-Sports Championship 2018 on Friday and Saturday at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu with an aim to provide an international platform to Nepali gamers, so that they can represent Nepal in various international e-sports tournaments.
Nepal E-Sports Championship this year will have two games, namely Dota 2 and Counter-Strike. A total of eight teams qualified for Dota 2 and CS will be competing to grab the title of E-sport National Champion.

Winner team of each of the games will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 150,000. They will also get an opportunity to represent Nepal in international e-sports tournaments.
“We are pleased to organize the Championship for the first time in the country. The Championship will provide an opportunity to e-gamers to come out of their regular circle and compete in the national tournament, and win an opportunity to represent Nepal in various e-sports tournaments held worldwide,” said Suraj Dangol, President of NESA. “We are thankful to Ncell for its generous support, which has contributed to put the event together, and made the Championship possible.”
The Championship is being managed by Addea Services Pvt Ltd and has multitudes of events on the sidelines that will entertain the crowd in the venue.
NESA hopes to attract more than 20,000 visitors to enjoy the gaming extravaganza.
