3rd South Asian Footvolley Championship

KATHMANDU, June 25: Nepal clinched the Third South Asian Friendly Footvolley Championship title, defeating India 2-0 in a match held at Bhutkhel ground at Tokha, today.
Nepal trounced India 20-18 and 18-14 in the 'best of three' match. Footvolley is a sport that combines aspects of beach volleyball and association football. The game is decided by 18 points but there should be a difference of two points.
Member of the Indian Sports Authority Board Dr NM Nanda and president of the South Asian Footvolley Federation Ram Avatar presented the medals and trophy to the players of the winning team.
Nepal has already hosted the South Asian Footvolley Championship on April 25, 2015. Nepal also participated in the Asian Footvolley Championship held in Thailand on May 12.
Footvolley is already included in the Olympic Games. RSS
