After being asked to bowl first, Nepal bowled out Qatar for only 43 runs in 17.4 overs. Sonu Khadka and Rekha Rawal each grabbed three wickets while Ritu Kanaujiya and Rubina Chhetri claimed a wicket each.[break]
In reply, Nepal chased the target in 9.1 overs losing just two wickets. Neera Rajopadhyay and Maya Rawat gave a good start but were both out before Nepal reached the target.
Neera scored 18 runs off 32 balls with a four while Maya got 9 off 16 with a boundary. Nary Thapa hit six including a four to conclude the match.
Sonu Khadka was adjudged player of the match. Nepal now meets Bhutan on Tuesday.
