The NAC had discontinued its service on Kathmandu-Shanghai-Kathmandu route in 2008 due to shortage of aircraft.
“With the addition of two aircraft over the last two years and two more within the next two years, NAC has planned to re-enter the Chinese mainland given the growing tourist arrivals from the northern neighbor in recent years,” the official said.
China is Nepal’s second largest source market for tourists after India.
