KATHMANDU, March 25: Nepal is playing the first match against Ireland ‘A’ today as part of 1st T20 practice matches.

The inaugural match between Nepal and Ireland Wolves is scheduled to kick off at 1 PM at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Under the leadership of Rohit Paudel, the Nepali team aims to secure victory in today's match. However, there remains a possibility of interruptions due to potential rainfall.

Nepal's Rohit Paudel and Ireland's Neil Rock will be the captains. There are 9 players who have played for Ireland's senior team in this squad.

Key players such as Peter Moor, Gareth Delany, and Ben White are among Ireland's formidable assets. Delaney, a primary all-rounder, boasts 67 T20I appearances for Ireland.

On the other hand, Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla and Kushal Bhurtel are the main players. With today's practice match, Nepal has the opportunity to test its bench strength.

Nepal is likely to give Anil Shah, Akash Chand and Bibek Yadav a chance today. Abhinash Bohra, who has been out of form lately, can use this match as a platform for improvement.

The encounter with Nepal promises to be a challenging one, given the presence of nine players from Ireland's senior team in the Wolves lineup.
