Nembang to be cremated with state honor, public holiday on the day of his funeral

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The government has decided to give national honor to the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, Subas Chandra Nembang. The government has also decided to announce a public holiday on the day of his funeral.

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The government has decided to give national honor to the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly, Subas Chandra Nembang. The government has also decided to announce a public holiday on the day of his funeral.


This decision was taken by the Council of Ministers meeting held this morning.

Nembang, who was also the vice chairman of the CPN-UML, passed away this morning.


Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati said that the Cabinet meeting held this morning decided to award Nemwang a national honor.


Since Nembang's sons are abroad, the funeral will be held only after their return. However, Minister Kiranti said that he cannot say exactly when the funeral will take place. He said that the day on which the funeral will be held will be a public holiday.
