At the meeting held for around 45 minutes at Dahal´s Residence at Naya Bazaar, Maoist Chairman urged the CA Chair to move ahead the election procedure by bringing changes to the parliamentary regulations, according to the Party Secretary, Posta Bahadur Bogati.[break]
In reply, CA Chairman Nembang said that a proposal to amend the parliamentary regulations cannot be introduced until the Nepali Congress too withdraws its candidacy to the post of the Prime Minister.
Maoist Chairman Prachanda and the CA Chair also discussed ways to putting an end to the current political impasse by electing the new Prime Minister at the earliest.
On the occasion, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman also formally informed the CA Chair about his withdrawal of candidacy to the post of the new Prime Minister, Bogati added.
