ITAHARI, Sept 25: Raju Thapa, 22, of Sunaulo Basti in Itahari Municipality-3 died on Friday evening after his neighbor stabbed him with a knife.
Thapa’s neighbor Devi Prasad Adhikari, 58, and Thapa had a quarrel over a minor domestic issue. It is learnt that they used to engage in frequent fights. “After receiving information that there was a fight between the two, we went to the village and convinced them to reconcile their differences on Sunday afternoon,” said Arjun KC, DSP, Area Police Office, Itahari.
Man stabs friend to death
According to K.C, they fought again after the police left the venue. It is learnt that Devi Prasad stabbed Thapa to death. Raju was critically injured in the attack and died while undergoing treatment at B.P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
Adhikari, who has also received injuries, has been arrested by the police. He is currently undergoing treatment at the B.P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
