KATHMANDU, July 5: Nearly 300 government staffers appointed to various sectors by the then Deuba-led government have lost their jobs.
A Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to annul the appointments made on August 30, 2017, by the previous government after the election code of conduct was introduced for the House of Representatives and National Assembly elections 2074.
Caretaker Deuba government had appointed its henchmen to various ministries, corporations, councils, board and organized institutions even after the left-alliance came up with a majority of votes in violation of code of conducts.
Those losing jobs range from the staffers of Corporation to Academy to National Reconstruction Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
