KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has resumed supplying electricity to the industries whose connections had previously been disconnected. The NEA reconnected the power lines in response to an instruction from the Council of Ministers.
The NEA’s board meeting, which was held after the instructions of the government, decided to reconnect electricity lines to the industries. The NEA has resupplied electricity to 23 industries whose connections were cut off on October 24 due to the unpaid dues of dedicated feeders and trunk lines.

Chandan Kumar Ghosh, spokesperson for the NEA, said that the work of connecting the line has begun from Tuesday night. The NEA reported that a total of Rs 22.24 billion is yet to be collected from 61 industries. There has been a tension between the industrialists and the authorities for a long time regarding the arrears.
