KATHMANDU, July 10: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has been postponed for another seven days.
According to NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the meeting was called off as the whole party is engaged in carrying out rescue and relief works and minimizing further loss due to landslides and floods around the country including Sindhupalchowk district. “Party organization has been instructed for this,” Shrestha wrote on Twitter.

It is the fourth time that the meeting of the party has been called off. Earlier the meeting scheduled for Saturday last week was pushed for Monday, Monday’s meeting for Wednesday and Wednesday’s for Friday at 11 am.
