Ncell KalaaJatra starts next week

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Ncell KalaaJatra – a month-long art festival, organized by Kathmandu Contemporary Art Center (KCAC) is all set to kick off on August 16. Speaking at a press meet organized by NCell today at its head office in New Baneshwar, Milan Sharma, Expert – Corporate Communication, CEO office, NCell, said that the art festival is an initiative to support and promote Nepali art as part of fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.



The festival will feature exhibitions of contemporary arts, paintings and sculptures, wherein established professionals along with emerging and amateur artists will be sharing the platform to showcase their creations. It’ll also bring cartoons to a gallery exhibition.[break]



The painting exhibition will be held at G/H Gallery in Patan Museum from August 16 till September 6. Likewise, exhibitions of cartoons and sculptures will be held at Siddhartha Art Gallery, Baber Mahal from August 18 to September 16.



Nischal Oli of KCAC informed that a carnival will be organized on August 24, in which artists including theater artists and writers will participate with colorful paper-mache and other artistic creations. The carnival will end with public expositions in Naag Bahal, Lalitpur, where artists of Aarohan Gurukul Theater Group are scheduled to perform drama.
