NEPALGUNJ, July 7: Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakash Man Singh on Thursday said that the UCPN (Maoist) is not willing to conclude the task of peace process and writing constitution.

“Maoists´ conduct prove that they don´t want these tasks completed,” Singh said addressing a press meet organized in Nepalgunj.

He claimed that one month, out of the total extended three months term of the Constituent Assembly (CA), went in vain because of the Maoists.

Singh warned his party would launch peaceful protests if the peace process and constitution writing were not concluded by August 31.

He said NC would not accept government led by UCPN (Maoist). Singh claimed NC parliamentary party leader could be common candidate for the prime ministerial post.
