KATHMANDU, April 29: The Nepali Congress has urged the main opposition CPN-UML and other opposition parties to support the constitution amendment bill.

Speaking at a press meet organized by the party central promotion subcommittee at party central office on Saturday, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba urged the opposition parties including the CPN-UML to back the constitution amendment bill citing that the amendment in the constitution would bring all the disgruntled forces back in the main track of the country.

Stating that the amendment bill would address the demand of all the sectors, NC President Deuba, however, claimed that the bill will be endorsed with two-third majority from the parliament, despite the opposition of the few parties. He requested the opposition parties not to obstruct the process.

Various leaders and cadres of the party were present during the program.
