NC urges govt to forward two bills simultaneously

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: A meeting of the office bearers of the Nepali Congress (NC) on Tuesday has urged the government to forward constitution amendment bill and reconstruction authority bill simultaneously.

The meeting held at the residence of Party President Sushil Koirala at Maharajgunj in the capital reiterated to forward the both bills at the same time.The party spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu informed that they again urged the government to bring the both bills at the same time and clarified that the party was not against the reconstruction bill.

Spokesperson Badu further clarified that NC was not against the reconstruction bill but the party was expecting to resolve the Tarai-protest through constitution amendment process while forwarding the bill at the same time along with reconstruction bill.

Also present on the occasion were Party President Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel, general secretary duo Prakash Man Singh and Krishna Prasad Sitaula.

Similarly, the meeting held discussions on various issues including the preparations of party's central working committee meeting scheduled for tomorrow and upcoming general convention. RSS
