KATHMANDU, May 29: The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the Nepali Congress held at its party headquarters in Sanepa on Tuesday decided to launch protest program against the government and UCPN (Maoist).

Terming the government’s decision to hold next election as unconstitutional, the party has decided to sit with other parties to discuss and chalk out strategies to protest the decision. [break]

They also accused the Maoists of conspiring to capture the state power.

The CWC meet also decided to press for Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai’s resignation to pave way for national consensus government.

Earlier, an all-party meet had also termed the decision as unconstitutional and decided to protest against the decision unanimously.

The third major political party CPN-UML had earlier questioned the legitimacy of the PM with the dissolution of the CA and termed the PM’s move as unconstitutional.
