KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The talks between Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) and main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) held at Singha Durbar has been concluded inconclusively on Saturday morning.

During talks held at NC president’ Sushil Koirala’s residence, Maharajgunj, it is learnt that NC had requested the agitating Madhes-based parties for forwarding the constitution amendment bill along with the bill on the reconstruction authority in the parliament, while the TMDP reiterated its stance on seeking a political solution through a package deal. TMDP, however, agree to forward the bill on the reconstruction authority in the parliament out of humanitarian consideration.

However, the TMDP leaders argued that the ongoing Madhes movement would not be addressed without a package political deal which covers the issue of provincial delineation.
