NC takes lead in Itahari Sub-metropolitan City

ITAHARI, July 1: Nepali Congress(NC) mayoral candidate Rohit Prasai is taking the lead in the race for the mayor of Itahari Sub-metropolitan city. Prasai has secured 3384 votes, compared to 3154 votes garnered by his closest rival CPN-UML mayoral candidate Dwarika Lal Chaudhari.

Likewise, NC deputy mayoral candidate Bimala Dhakal who has garnered 3351 votes is ahead of her closest rival UML deputy mayoral candidate Laxmi Gautam who has obtained  2961 votes.
