KATHMANDU, June 4
: Nepali Congress has submitted its list of ministers to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday, his press advisor told myrepublica.com. [break]

Bishnu Rijal, press advisor, confirmed that NC has submitted the list of its ministers´ names.

NC has given names of Sujata Koirala, Dr Minendra Rijal, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Bal Krishna Khand, Purna Kumar Sherma, Uma Kant Chaudhary as ministers in the government.

Earlier today, Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala brushed off opposition to his proposal of making Sujata, his daughter, as leader of NC ministers in the cabinet as foreign minister. Nearly all senior leaders, except Sher Bahadur Deuba, have strongly opposed the party president´s move to propel his daughter as leader of the NC team.

A source close to the prime minister told myrepublica.com that the oath-taking of new ministers is likely to take place at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Another source said that Madhesi People´s Rights Forum is likely to send its ministerial team under its parliamentary party leader Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar. The Forum leader has demanded deputy prime ministership for his support to the Nepal-led government despite opposition from party chairman Upendra Yadav. Yadav wanted to support the government from outside.

Meanwhile, Wakil Musalman of MPRF told our correspondent Kiran Chapagain that Gachchhadar met NC president Koirala earlier Thursday insisting that he be made deputy prime minister "as promised". "I won´t just accept home ministry," Musalman, a staunch supporter of Gachchhadar, quoted his leader as saying. He also threatened to withdraw his support.

Gachchhadar faction has been claiming that both Prime Minister Nepal and Koirala had promised to make Gachchhadar deputy PM if he lent support to the government that replaced a Maoist-led coalition government.
