BHAKTAPUR, Oct 1: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala said on Saturday his party would not suffer a split due to the internal dispute over the dissolution of its four sister organizations.

Senior NC leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has announced his resignation expressing his dissent over the party establishment’s decision to dissolve the central executive bodies of the four sister wings.

The Deuba faction has also made its intent clear that it would now launch a nationwide drive against the party establishment to put an end to what it says as the party president’s tyranny.

In another context, Koirala reiterated NC would not join the coalition government but sit in opposition and assist the government by playing a constructive role.
