KATHMANDU, April 9: The main opposition party, the Nepali Congress, obstructed the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Tuesday. As soon as the HoR session started, the NC lawmakers stood up from their seats.
Upon receiving a chance to speak, NC Whip Sushila Thing demanded the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate the alleged involvement of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in irregularities related to cooperatives. She asserted that the government's conduct was irresponsible and urged that no further proceedings should take place until the committee is formed.
