NC nominates candidates in all eight local levels of Banke

NEPALGUNJ, April 25: The Nepali Congress (NC) has finalized the names of the candidates for all eight local levels of Banke district for the upcoming local polls, slated for May 13. The NC has fielded Prashant Bista as the mayoral candidate for Nepalgunj sub-metropolis in the upcoming local-level election.

NEPALGUNJ, April 25: The Nepali Congress (NC) has finalized the names of the candidates for all eight local levels of Banke district for the upcoming local polls, slated for May 13. The NC has fielded Prashant Bista as the mayoral candidate for Nepalgunj sub-metropolis in the upcoming local-level election.


The party has also nominated Purna Prasad Acharya as the mayoral candidate and Sangita Subedi as the deputy mayoral candidate for Kohalpur. Similarly, Tapta Bahadur Poudel has been nominated as the chairperson, while Sangita Kumari Tharu has been nominated as the vice-chairperson of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality. Likewise, Narendra Kumar Chaudhary and Sahida Bano Khan have been nominated for the post of chairman and vice-chairman of Duduwa Rural Municipality, Ram Chandra Maurya and Atikun Nisha have been nominated for the post of chairman and vice-chairman of Narainapur Rural Municipality.

In Baijnath Rural Municipality, Prakash Bahadur Shahi and Nirmala Rokaya have been nominated for chairperson and vice-chairperson. Chabban Kha and Ram Pyari Yadav are fielding for the post of chairperson and vice-person of Janki Rural Municipality, while Manju Malla has been nominated as the vice-chairperson for Khajura Rural Municipality by NC.  


The NC has formed an alliance in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan municipality and Khajura village municipality. In Nepalgunj sub-metropolis, Kamaruddin Rai from the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has been nominated as the candidate for the post of deputy mayor from the alliance.


Similarly, in Khajura Rural Municipality, Dambar Bika of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been nominated as the candidate for the post of chairman on behalf of the coalition.
