" I want to make it clear that Nepali Congress has not decided to forge electoral alliance with any ruling party. If there are news about it, they are untrue. I refute it”, NC District president of Chitwan Jit Narayan Shrestha told Republica Online.

"We are going to win the election without the support of any other political party. Chitwan is our stronghold. There is no question of contesting the election by forging electoral alliance with other parties",  said Ram Krishna Ghimire, former NC Chitwan  district president and lawmaker representing Constituency 4 of Chitwan district.
