NEW DELHI, August 3: A meeting was held between the former Deputy Prime Minister and leader of Nepali Congress, Bimalendra Nidhi, and Vijay Chauthaiwale, the head of the foreign affairs department of India's ruling party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
On Wednesday morning, an hour-long discussion took place between the two leaders at the BJP headquarters on Dindayal Marg in New Delhi. They discussed ways to further develop the connection between the two countries, Nepal and India, as well as the Nepali Congress and the BJP.

On the occasion, Nidhi, who is also a former vice-president of the Nepali Congress, said that the meeting with the officials of the birthplace of Shree Ram pilgrimage site was fruitful regarding the construction of Janaki temple in Janakpur and the metal bow in Nepal on behalf of Mithila residents in the under-construction Ram Temple in Ram’s birthplace. Nidhi expressed his confidence that this will further strengthen the long-term relationship between the two countries in all fields.
Nidhi, who reached Ayodhya last Friday, promised to agree to the proposal made by Shri Ram birthplace Tirth Region General Minister Champat Rai to put a bow in the Ram temple.
