NC leader Mahato arrested on murder charge from capital

MAHOTTARI, Sept 29: Police arrested Nepali Congress (NC) leader accused of involvement in a murder case, from Gaushala in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Ram Shrestha Mahato, regional president of NC area no. 6 in Mahottari has been charged with his involvement in the murder of Sabita Kumari, 14, of Sundarpur-7 in Mahottari, daughter of Ram Ekwal Yadav, on August 31.


Police said that the family of the deceased lodged a complaint with the Area Police Office at Gaushala in Mahottari, naming five persons including Mahato as culprits.

Inspector Chandeshwor Yadav said that Ram Jiban Raut, the mastermind of the murder, is in police custody and Police were probing into the case. RSS
