KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Lawmaker Ishwari Devi Neupane has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC).
She was elected during the election held on Thursday at a meeting of the PHC in the New Baneshwor-based federal parliament building.

At the meeting, the senior member of the committee, Pashupati SJB Rana, announced Neupane as the sole candidate for the chairperson and declared her unanimously elected as the chairperson.
Senior member Rana also congratulated and extended his best wishes to the newly-elected Chairperson Neupane, who is also a Nepali Congress(NC) lawmaker. Speaker Devraj Ghimire will administer the oath of office and secrecy to her this evening.
