NC joins Madhesh province govt, takes four key ministries including finance

JANAKPURDHAM, July 18: Four ministers from the Nepali Congress (NC) have joined the Madhesh Province government on Thursday.

The NC has taken four key ministries in the government led by Janamat Party leader Satish Singh. 

While NC leader Janardan Singh Chhetri has been appointed as Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives, Sunil Kumar Yadav has been appointed as Minister for Finance. 

Similarly, NC leaders Shesh Narayan Yadav and Kaushal Kishor Rai have been appointed as Minister for Energy, Irrigation and Drinking Water and Minister for Labor and Transport, respectively.

The new ministers were sworn in on Thursday evening. Chief Minister Singh now has a 15-member cabinet, including three state ministers.
