KATHMANDU, Nov 7: The Nepali Congress (NC) has expressed its sorrow over the demise of democratic fighter Deep Bahadur Rayamajhi. He died this morning at the age of 76.
Party chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel in a press statement said that the party had lost a competent leader with the demise of Rayamajhi. Similarly, party senior leader Ramchandra Poudel said he was saddened by the death of Rayamajhi and extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family.

Rayamajhi was elected the village council chairperson thrice and the District Development Committee member during the Panchayat regime and the then Sindhukot village development committee chair during the 1992 s local election.
He was the Nepali Congress general convention representatives twice, according to NC leader Taranath Dahal. He succumbed to a prolonged illness at his residence in Melamchi municipality-5, Sindhupalchwok.
NC Sindhupalchowk district president Bikash Lama, Province 3 state assembly member Neema Lama and Melamchi municipality mayor Dambar Aryal reached the Tribenighat of Melamchi to pay their last tributes to the late Rayamajhi. He was cremated today. RSS
