KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The voting time for the 14th Nepali Congress General Convention has been extended by 4 hours. The polling time has been extended till 9 PM as all the voters could not cast their votes by 5 PM.
Voting was scheduled to begin at 8 AM, which could start only at 12 PM. A total of 487 candidates are contesting for 132 posts of NC’s Central Working Committee.
The NC has made necessary arrangements for voting in one place at the National Assembly Hall and two places in Bhrikuti Mandap.While a total of 2,100 General Convention representatives will cast their vote from booths set up at Bhrikuti Mandap, 1,300 General Convention representatives will cast their votes at a booth set up at the National Assembly building.
It is said that it takes about half an hour for a representative to cast the vote.
