NC fails to operate as per party rule: leader Singh

KATHMANDU, March 30: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said the party failed to operate in tune with its rule and procedures. 


Speaking at a tea reception organised by the Nepali Congress Tokha municipality-11 here today, leader Singh argued that NC which had led various political movements for country's change could not take a leadership for economic development.

Party former general secretary went on to say that inability to form party's several departments even after three years of the general convention was further weakening the party. Only the citation of party's glorious history was not enough to maintain the party's image, instead visions were necessary to decide how to take it ahead in future.


According to him, the government's organising of the Investment Summit is good for the nation, but it is sad for the country that development budget remained unspent. 


He accused the government of delaying to enact laws, acts and polices required to operate the local and province governments." It is the manifestation of the lack of government's competency." 


Party leader Bhimsen Das Pradhan highlighted the need of ending the culture of groupism within the party and working for the organizational strengthening bearing in mind the upcoming elections. The reception was held on the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2076 BS.
