NC elected chief, UML deputy chief in Sinja Rural Municipality

JUMLA, May 16: Dewal Sing Rawal of Nepali  Congress has been elected as  chief of Jumla Rural Municipality.

JUMLA, May 16: Dewal Sing Rawal of Nepali  Congress has been elected as  chief of Jumla Rural Municipality.


Rawal has been elected as Jumla Rural Municipality securing 1, 430 votes, according to returning officer Umakanta Paudel. Rawal’s closest rival  Purna Prasad Dhital of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) got 1, 203 votes.



CPN-UML Janma Kanya Khatri has been elected as deputy chief with 1,411 votes while her closest rival Rajakali Shahi of Nepali Congress has got 1,262 votes. Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Hikmat Khatri has got 1,113 votes.
