GANDAKI, June 15: Eight district presidents of Nepali Congress (NC) from Gandaki Province have demanded the provincial government to prioritize the health sector in the forthcoming budget.
The district presidents and secretaries met with Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel on Monday and stressed on the need to guarantee vaccination against COVID-19, according to NC spokesperson of Kaski District Chapter Nabin Sigdel. They also suggested that the most affected areas due to the pandemic could be recognized as another priority sector.
The budget should focus on good governance, disaster management, relief distribution to the COVID-19 affected families, implementation of the constitution, federalism and development, said NC Kaski District Chapter President Krishna KC.
